Job description

The focus group in Random matrix theory, stochastic models and analysis at the Department of Mathematics is offering 2 researcher positions. The positions are financed by grants from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. The main duty is research within the field of the group or related areas. A limited amount of teaching and some administration may be part of the duties. The positions will be with Kurt Johansson or Kevin Schnelli as a mentor.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree

Preferred qualifications

We seek a candidate with a strong background in parts of mathematics relevant to the research activity of the group. The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills. No skills in Swedish are required.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence.
