Job description

The Division of Electronics (ELE) conducts research and education in the field of electronics. We manufacture semiconductor devices and circuits in KTH’s clean room (myfab KTH, www.myfab.se) and we are also responsible for equipment and processes in the clean room used by both companies and academic users. The position includes manufacturing of semiconductor circuits, guide and educate new and current users as well as developing processes for researchers using myfab KTH. 

Duties included in this position are:

  • Develop and maintain the CMOS technology at KTH with emphasis on process technology in myfab KTH.
  • Manufacture CMOS circuits in the clean room.
  • Handle all external process commitments.
  • Conduct process development for new users of myfab KTH.
  • Tool responsible for ELE’s SiGe Epitaxy tool, ASM Epsilon 2000.
  • Conduct statistical process control on relevant processes.
  • Participate as ELE’s process expert in external events arranged for example by myfab or NNEN.
  • Work in close collaboration with researchers/doctoral students at ELE and contribute to process technology expertise in the research projects at ELE.

Qualifications

Applicants to this position must have: 

  • Experience of work in a clean room for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Master of Science degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • At the least basic knowledge in both Swedish and English, as training of new staff takes place in both languages.

Applicants should also have:

  • Experience of how experimental research is carried out in the clean room.
  • Experience of independently developing new semiconductor processes.

Meritorious for the position is if the applicant has a doctoral degree and/or has experience in research/university work.
