Job description
As a postdoc you will join the group of Prof. Benoit Baudry who investigates techniques to automatically improve test suites in the context of Continuous Integration. Empiricism and case studies form the core scientific foundations for this work.
In this project, the postdoc will investigate code analysis and transformation techniques to improve test suites in order to harness open source libraries. These techniques will combine dynamic analysis to learn what parts of the code can be better tested, with learning techniques to leverage knowledge about good test cases. The expected benefits of test improvement: catch regressions early, in the CI; increase existing test suites with boundary cases.
The postdoc is expected to develop an autonomous research activity in the area of software testing and dynamic analysis, which shall be published in the top conferences and journals in the fields of software engineering and systems. The applicant must also be ready to take part in supervision activities (Masters and PhD students). The working language is English. The application should be motivated with a one-pager research statement.
The Wallenberg Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) is funding this postdoc position. WASP is Sweden’s largest ever individual research program, and provides a platform for academic research and education, fostering interaction with Sweden’s leading technology companies.
