Job description
The division of NSE invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the area of machine learning, with potential applications to cyber-physical systems security and critical infrastructure security. Our objective is to develop an understanding of adversarial attacks on machine learning algorithms, and to provide mathematical foundations and engineering design principles for secure and resilient learning for use in networked systems and in critical infrastructures in face of cyber and cyber-physical attacks.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold or be about to receive a doctoral degree in EE or CS (or equivalent). The doctoral degree must have been obtained within the last three years from the application deadline (some exceptions for special grounds, for instance sick leave and parental leave). The applicant should have a strong background from at least one of the areas algorithms, control and optimization, machine learning or software systems, with a history of applications to problems in security.

The successful applicant should have an outstanding research and publication record. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills are a requirement. We are looking for a strongly motivated person, who is able to work independently. Good command of English orally and in writing is required to present and publish research results.
