Job description

Integrated Transport Research Lab (ITRL) is a research center aimed at researching and demonstrating transport concepts that can significantly reduce CO2-emissions while being economically and socially sustainable. ITRL develops and heads research projects involving researchers from all schools of KTH, as well as contributes to research within the system perspective in the research projects.

As a research engineer/project coordinator at ITRL, you will mainly: 

  1. Develop and maintain ITRL's research platforms, lab and rooms so that the facilities are of a high standard and meet the needs of the research. Development of lab and rooms is coordinated by you, but planned together with researchers and ITRL's management team,
  2. support researchers who use the research platforms in research projects. 

Examples of projects that you will participate in are "Control tower for self-driving vehicles (AVTCT)" and "accessibility for driverless vehicles (TIFF)". Furthermore, you will work with practical work with our labs and facilities, 3D printer and arrange demonstrations. 

Your workplace is at Campus KTH, T-bana Tekniska Högskolan.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position, you have a M.Sc. degree in mechatronics, machine, electrical engineering or equivalent.

You are interested in both project coordination and practical work, and want to participate in the development and implementation of innovative demonstrations and lab platforms.

Furthermore, it is considered meritorious if you have:

  • Knowledge in mechatronics and programming
  • participated in research project,
  • experience in coordinating projects,
  • written academic publications and reports.

In addition, knowledge in Swedish is meritorious.
