Job description

The researcher will be involved in the EU project BARBARA Biopolymers with advanced functionalities for building and automotive parts processed through additive manufacturing. The researcher will directly participate in the modification of plant polysaccharides towards the preparation of engineered bioplastic blends to be used in the construction and automotive sector. The researcher will implement the compatibilization of the bioplastic blends and the characterization of the derived materials. The researcher will also be involved in assisting on the administrative management of the project as well as in the dissemination of the results of the project through research publications.

Qualifications

The candidate should have a PhD in Chemistry, Material Sciences or related topics. The candidate should demonstrate experimental experience on the chemical modification of polysaccharides and the compatilization of bioplastic blends. Experience in the structural and thermo-mechanical analysis of bioplastic blends is desired.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
