Job description

Lead research projects that combines microfabrication, microfluidics, microscopy and immunology; supervise project students and PhD students; be responsible for design, production and use of experimental platforms based on miniaturized systems, participate in grant writing, partly responsible for homepage and communication.

Qualifications

The applicant should have a Master degree in technical biology, biotechnology or similar, followed by a PhD in microsystems for biological applications or similar. Postdoc experience in a similar field is also of merit.

The applicant should have the previous experience of the following: design of silicon-based systems, clean room fabrication of silicon microdevices. design and production of masters, molds and devices in thermoplastic and thermosetting material; design and fabrication of devices in aluminum including CNC-machining; simulation of fluidic properties in microchip; sofware for 2D-CAD (L-edit, Autocad or similar); 3D-CAD (Autodesk, Inventor, Solidworks or similar); FEM simulation (Comsol), image analysis and editing (Image J, Photoshop, Illustrator); optical microscopy; SEM; cell culture, preparation and fluorescent labeling of immune cells for microscopy experiments.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
