Job description
The Department of Mathematics at KTH is offering one two-year post-doctoral position.
To develop methods and approaches to study discrete growth problems related to self-organizing criticalities such as sandpile dynamic and other phenomena which give rise to similar dynamics. The job consists of closely working with the PDE group and to follow the suggested methodology that is worked out to develop new theories.
Qualifications
We seek someone with good knowledge within nonlinear PDE, fri boundary problems, and homogenization. The applicant should have partial knowledge of discret cases of these problems and be well aware of methods from combinatorics. Knowledge of the theory of random walks is a plus.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
