Third-cycle subject: Biotechnology
The group of Cell Technology (CETEG) in the Dept. Industrial Biotechnology, School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Health, KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden) has a strong experience in the development of biopharmaceutical drug bioprocesses for human therapy. CETEG's activities include bioprocessing of high cell density perfusion, metabolic flux analysis modelling and fed-batch process development for industrial biologics manufacturing based on mammalian cells, as well as human cells. CETEG is Director of the Competence Centre, AdBIOPRO, Competence Centre for Advanced Bioproduction by Continuous Processing.
A position of licentiate candidate is available at CETEG focussed around the development of culture process in bioreactor to produce adeno-associated virus (AAV) with mammalian /human cells in perfusion mode process. The candidate will be included in KTH team, working in collaboration with industrial partners. The practical work will be performed at KTH, AlbaNova Centre, Roslagstullsbacken 21, 10691 Stockholm.

Doctoral students may engage in teaching, research, and administration corresponding to a maximum of 20 % of a full-time position.
