Job description
The position is centered on research about algae cultivation and circular economy, focusing on the valuation of industrial process chains from a socio-economic perspective. An important part of this research is valuation of marine ecosystem services and socio-economic cost-benefit analysis. The position will also include supervision of master students and teaching.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in industrial ecology, environmental economics, environmental strategic analysis or an equivalent field is required. At least five years of experience of socioeconomic analysis in transdisciplinary projects is required.
The applicant is expected to be well-merited with publications on cost-benefit analysis and valuation of ecosystem services related to the marine environment. Considerable experience in teaching environmental economics or equivalent courses at university level is required. The applicant should be fluent in English.
It is desirable that the applicant has research experience from a postdoctoral or equivalent position, and that the applicant has experience from coordinating and leading applications for research funding. Experience of international projects related to the marine environment and contributions to methodological development in cost-benefit analysis and the valuation of ecosystem services is an advantage.
As a person you have the ability to work independently and are used to work with deadlines. You are motivated by challenging tasks and value collaboration by maintaining good relations with both internal and external colleagues.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
