Job description
Division of Electronics, Department of EE within the school of EECS is looking for a Postdoc in the area of Design Automation of Machine Learning hardware. The group led by Prof. Ahmed Hemani has been leading research in the development of coarse grain reconfigurable fabrics for machine learning. A system level methodology has been developed in the group that enables signal processing sub-systems modeled in hardware to be mapped to these coarse grain reconfigurable fabrics. See the paper on System Level Synthesis of hardware for DSP applications using pre-characterized function implementations in the ISSS Codes Conference in 2013. Another part of methodology raises the physical design target from boolean level to register transfer level and introduces a structure layout scheme to make synthesis from higher level more efficient. This work called the SiLago Method has been published in the NOCS 2017.
This position will be placed in Prof. Ahmed Hemani's group
