Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap

Job description

We are looking for post-docs that are interested in the general area of edge computing and applications, and will help with advancing the research in the competence center. The postdocs will work together with several research groups, as well as with industrial partners on relevant topics in the three major directions of the research center: safety, security and predictability. The work will include collaboration / co-supervision of PhD students, and we also offer the opportunity to participate in teaching. The focus of the work can be theoretical or systems-oriented, in the area of edge computing itself or in areas that will largely benefit from edge computing (e.g., AI). In all cases, incoming postdocs can expect to work with leading research teams, as well as with industrial partners that are standing for cutting-edge technology.

The positions are for one year with the possibility of one year extension. The duties of the postdocs include:

  • Conducting innovative research towards predictable, safe, and secure edge computing and/or cyber-physical systems leveraging edge computing,
  • Collaborating within the scope of the new center,
  • Presentations of research at conferences and meetings, as well as publication of research papers in high-quality journals
  • Potential involvement in teaching activities on M.Sc. and graduate level in relevant courses including coaching student projects.

What we offer

  • An international workplace.
  • A leading technical university that creates knowledge and expertise for a sustainable future.
  • Being part of a team with high ambitions in an open, curious and dynamic environment.
  • Access to a newly formed research center at the technological forefront, with very active and dynamic research groups collaborating in the research center.
  • Ideal conditions to take the first stage in your path towards an academic career, by providing strong collaboration partners for top-tier research contributions and international networks, and mentorship by a diverse team of experienced researchers.
