Job description

The focus group in Random matrix theory, stochastic models and analysis at the Department of Mathematics is offering up to two two-year post-doctoral positions. The positions are financed by grants from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. The main duty is research within the field of the group or related areas. A limited amount of teaching and some administration may be part of the duties. The positions are at the post-doc level with Kurt Johansson as mentor.

Qualifications

A PhD degree, awarded (or planned to be awarded before the commencement of the position) in mathematics or related areas is a requirement. A PhD degree from another university than KTH is preferred. We seek a candidate with a strong background in parts of mathematics relevant to the research activity of the group. The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability. No skills in Swedish are required.
