Hereby we announce a postdoc-position, for 1 year on full-time, which will put focus on two principal goals:

• To develop new knowledge and articulate existing theories and methodologies for critical interpretations of architecture in relation to current socio-political challenges and concerns. This could involve a wide range of perspectives such as architectural technology, urban studies, history, theory and critical studies in architecture.
• To develop the existing research culture and create new collaborations by promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthening national and international networks in research, education, and the profession.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
• The doctoral degree must be in architecture or similar research field.
• The candidate must be able to express himself/herself well in English, both orally and in writing.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.

Qualifications

• Scientific and scholarly skills in the research subject
• Research proposal fitting the defined research area
• Research experience from another research environment than the hosting department.
• Educational ability in architecture and related fields
• Awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality
• Cooperative skills.
• It is an advantage if the candidate holds great communication skills.
• A strong independent work approach.

About the employment

The position offered is a temporary employment for 1 year.

A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
