Project description
Third-cycle subject: Computer Science
The doctoral student will work in the MARTHA project, a collaboration between KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI IS) in Germany. The aim of the project is to reconstruct and analyze the motion of horses in video.
The doctoral student will also collaborate closely with researchers at SLU, The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
Supervision: The doctoral student will be placed at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and supervised by Professor Hedvig Kjellström.

Eligibility
To be admitted to postgraduate education (Chapter 7, 39 § Swedish Higher Education Ordinance), the applicant must have basic eligibility in accordance with either of the following:
The applicant should have a Master's degree in Computer Science or a neighboring subject.
Selection
In order to succeed as an doctoral student at KTH you need to be goal-oriented and persevering in your work. In the selection of the applicants, the following will be assessed:
Documented experience with development of Computer Vision methodology is meriting, as well as interest in and experience of cross-disciplinary research.
After the qualification requirements, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and personal suitability.

Information regarding admission and employment
Only those admitted to postgraduate education may be employed as a doctoral student. The total length of employment may not be longer than what corresponds to full-time doctoral education in four years ' time. An employed doctoral student can, to a limited extent (maximum 20%), perform certain tasks within their role, e.g. training and administration. A new position as a doctoral student is for a maximum of one year, and then the employment may be renewed for a maximum of two years at a time.
