Job description

Instruction: The candidate is expected to conduct research in algebraic combinatorics and nonlinear algebra. Examples of relevant research topics are inequalities for polynomials in combinatorics, algebra and geometry, and matroid theory. The candidate is not expected to teach.

Qualifications

The candidate should have a PhD-degree in mathematics or neighboring areas, and should have conducted research in an area close to or complementing Brändén’s research.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.

About the employment

The position offered is for, at the most, two years.

A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
