Job description

The research group in Number Theory at the Department of Mathematics is offering a one-year post-doctoral position with the possibility of prolongation for one additional year. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research within the area of number theory, possibly with connections to dynamical systems or quantum chaos. In addition, the position involves a limited teaching load corresponding to 20% of the full working hours.

Qualifications

A PhD degree or equivalent foreign degree in mathematics or related areas is a requirement. Candidates cannot have their PhD degrees from KTH. We seek a candidate with a strong background in areas of mathematics relevant to the research activity of the group. The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills. No skills in Swedish are required.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
