Job description

The postdoc participates in the ongoing research in the division of Health Informatics and Logistics, and takes responsibility for the development and application of simulation, gaming and sensor-management methods in ongoing research projects, both in Sweden and at the EU level. The main part of the job will be on a project for Trafikverket, but other projects can become relevant over time too.

The postdoc is expected to publish in collaboration with other member of the research group about the results, and to take a leading role in the evaluation of application of methods. Depending on the specific background and interests, programming of simulation environments can be part of the tasks.

The postdoc is expected to support thesis projects of students as organized by the division.

The postdoc explicitly includes cross-disciplinary collaboration and active participation with other stakeholders in the research projects to which the postdoc will be assigned. Contributions to intermediate and end reporting of projects are part of the job.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.

Preferred qualifications

  • An excellent scientific track record on method development and application of simulation methods in complex adaptive systems.
  • Experience with projects with external (non-academic) stakeholders
  • Experience with participatory simulation methods.
  • Experience with a multitude of simulation methods
  • Proven collaborative skills
  • Familiarity with diversity and equal opportunity issues, particularly gender equality
  • Swedish language skills
  • Educational ability.
