Third-cycle subject: Electrical Engineering
QuantumSense is a recently launched interdisciplinary research center involving research groups at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and SciLifeLab, in Stockholm, Sweden. The project is devoted to realizing a next-generation sequencing. A brief description of the technology and the long term objective of the project is available at https://bit.ly/2FjwEZH
The Division of Information Science and engineering is looking for a doctoral student who will work in the project to develop signal processing and machine learning methods for interpreting data produced by the developed sensors. Candidates should have an educational background in electrical engineering, signal processing, mathematics, or a related field, preferably with knowledge of machine learning and good programming skills. The position is funded by a project grant from the Swedish Research Council.
Supervision: The doctoral student will be supervised by:Joakim Jaldén, professor of signal processing at the division for Information Science and Engineering.

Information regarding admission and employment
Only those admitted to postgraduate education may be employed as a doctoral student. The total length of employment may not be longer than what corresponds to full-time doctoral education in four years ' time. An employed doctoral student can, to a limited extent (maximum 20%), perform certain tasks within their role, e.g. training and administration. A new position as a doctoral student is for a maximum of one year, and then the employment may be renewed for a maximum of two years at a time.
