Job description

We invite applications for reserch engineers with the Networked Systems Security (NSS) group at EE/CoS. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to work as reserach engineers on security and privacy.

The NSS group designs and builds trustworthy networked systems. Our research agenda covers a gamut of security and privacy problems; a number of our results got significant attention by the research community. Our teaching efforts lead to a new security curriculum we introduced at KTH. For more information: www.ee.kth.se/nss.

We look for two research engineers to support ongoing activities in the context of largescale projects on security for the Internet of Things.  The duties correspond to everyday engagement in NSS lab activities and support of our research projects, ranging from design and implementation to laboratory configuration and setup to collection of experimental results, their analysis, and their presentation in the form of technical reports and technical presentations.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, information and communication technologies, or a related area, or equivalent competence.
• Strong academic credentials, written and spoken English proficiency, communication and team-work skills.
• Interest in several of the following: design, analysis, verification, implementation, or empirical evaluation of secure networked systems.
• Background in: computer security, mobile computing, networking, Internet security, wireless communications, software engineering, system and network programming, computer hardware, applied cryptography.
• Preparation and readiness to contribute to our research agenda and to work in an internationally oriented group.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience from industry is welcome.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
