Job description

The position contains the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Mechanical manufacturing (lathe, milling, welding, brazing etc.)
  • Construction of prototypes and test rigs, commissioning and technical support
  • Design support for experimental research and education projects in collaboration with researchers and doctoral students (including assessment of design drawings for external production)
  • Purchasing support
  • Participate in the development of risk assessments
  • Fire safety responsible (training via employer), chemical responsible person, in collaboration with colleague
  • Service and maintenance of the lab and workshop infrastructure

Qualifications

Requirements

  • At least upper secondary education in mechanics or equivalent.
  • Work experience with refrigeration machines and heat pumps

Preferred qualifications

  • Interest in energy related topics
  • Work experience in mechanical design, manufacture and assembly.
  • Basic knowledge in 3-phase electricity
  • Work experience in electricity and control (electronics)
  • Work experience with building of prototypes

Great emphasis will be on personal competence and suitability. It includes creativity, collaboration ability, independence and flexibility in a dynamic work environment. It is a plus if you are handy in general.

A short practical test may be required in conjunction with the job interview.
