Job description

We invite applications for a post-doctoral research position at EECS. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to conduct research in security, privacy, and trust, notably, design, analysis, verification, implementation and empirical evaluation of secure and privacy-preserving systems. Candidates with experimental/systems or theoretical profiles are welcome to apply.

The NSS group designs and builds trustworthy networked systems. Our research agenda covers a gamut of security and privacy problems; a number of our results got significant attention by the research community. Our teaching efforts led to a new security curriculum at KTH. Our activities are summarized here: https://www.eecs.kth.se/nss and your work will be aligned to one of our ongoing project areas.

As a member of the research lab, you will be involved in experimental systems work in collaboration with faculty members and several doctoral students at our research lab. You will contribute to scientific publications as well as to new grant applications.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (With some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume).

  • Strong background in several of the following: computer security, mobile computing, networking, Internet security, wireless communications, distributed algorithms and systems, programming languages, performance analysis, operating systems, simulation techniques and tools, software engineering, system and network programming, applied cryptography, privacy preserving or enhancing technologies, optimization, information theory.
  • Preparation and readiness to contribute to our research agenda and to work in an internationally oriented group.

About the employment

Initially 1 year with possible extension with 1 more year.

A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
