Third-cycle subject: Doctoral program in Applied and Computational Mathematics
In this project, we will use frameworks in optimization, systems theory and machine learning to develop data-driven and model-based methods for large-scale network problems. The focus will be on developing theory and methods that can be used for control and estimation of large-scale systems such as transportation systems, communication systems and water supply networks. Digitization of major infrastructures is the next technological revolution that is expected to create economic and social success and contribute to a sustainable society. This doctoral project is part of KTH's initiative Digital Futures, and we will develop methods that can be used in the digitization to handle the large and complex systems of tomorrow’s society.
