Job description

Within a European project on optical fiber coupling to single photon detectors, we are looking for a researcher to coordinate the development of new fiber fusion techniques between our research group at KTH and the industrial partners. You will establish test protocols, define test structures, perform measurements and setup a validation plan to realize a robust and efficient process to fuse optical fibers on detectors.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree.
  • Postdoc experience in quantum optics.
  • Proficiency in programming.

Preferred qualifications

We prefer that you have both academic and industrial experience. A thorough knowledge of quantum optics demonstrated by a strong publication record is expected.

  • Ability to ensure that research results will be useful.        
  • Ability to present research results and development work.   
  • Experience in developing and managing operations and personnel.
