The postdoctoral project will focus on development of optical experimental techniques such as scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) and scanning tunnelling luminescence (STL) in order to achieve deep subwavelength spatial resolution in photoluminescence measurements. The developed techniques will be implemented on a SNOM instrument available in the group. The high spatial resolution measurement methods will then be used to study advanced optical properties of wide band gap semiconductors, such as GaN and InGaN/GaN quantum wells. Project results will lead to a deeper understanding of carrier dynamics in these materials and contribute to the development of highly efficient light emitting devices. The project will include experimental work, modelling and result presentation. You can read more about what is included in a postdoctoral position in the Employment Regulations and on the Swedish Agency for Government Employers - postdoctoral agreement
