Job description

The main work in the advertized position is research in EMC with a focus on electromagnetic interference caused by solar photovoltaic installations. This includes analysis of causes, and assessment and development of suitable mitigation methods. Some involvement in relevant education tasks may also be included.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in electrical engineering, electronics, electrophysics with suitable focus, or similar or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (There are exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave: kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume).
  • The applicant should have a strong background in at least one of the following areas: electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), technical modelling, or power electronics.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent academic merits, and well developed skills in analytical work and problem solving.

Preferred qualifications

  • We seek a strongly motivated person with good ability to work in collaboration and also to work independently.
  • Competence in spoken and written English is necessary for discussion and for publication and presentation of research results in international journals and conferences.
  • Desirable qualities are documented pedagogical ability and an awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with particular focus on gender equality.

About the employment

The position offered is for, at the most, two years.

A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
