The KTH division of Biophysics is located at Science for Life Laboratory, wher the team develops some of the world’s most used tools for modelling biological systems and leads the EU-funded center-of-excellence BioExcel. As part of this center, we seek a postdoctoral scholar with strong previous research merits interested in developing algorithms, programs and computational techniques focused on molecular dynamics, in particular the program GROMACS. The duties involve both advanced scientific programming, making programs more usable to solve concrete biological/chemical problems, and conducting internationally competitive research in the field. Particular themes include (a) membranes and membrane proteins, (b) combination with cryo-EM data, and (c) new approaches combining simulations with data-driven life science and machine learning.
The work is part of a larger team allowing both collaborative work and independent research, and involves conference and collaboration travel to both Europe and the US.
