Job description

The successful candidate will join the Division of Nuclear Power Safety which conducts research on thermal-hydraulics and accident phenomena of risk importance to existing and future nuclear reactors, and performs safety analysis for nuclear power plants, including design basis accident analysis and severe accident analysis with particular emphasis on light water reactors.  The successful candidate will conduct experiments in melt-structure-water interaction such as infiltration of melt in a porous media and perform corresponding analytical and computational investigation. The candidate is also expected to help supervise PhD and Master students in their respective research.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree 

The candidate should have research competence and expertise in the subject matter of the post.

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong experience, e.g., completed postdoctoral work, in the area of high-temperature melt-structure interactions (with supporting publications).
  • Teaching ability.
  • The ability to work towards research results being utilised in practice.
  • The ability to inform about research and development work
  • Experience of developing and leading activities and staff.
  • Knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence.

About the employment
