Job description

Printed electronics is an emerging field for producing low-cost electronics by printing thin film devices and circuits, for instance on flexible substrates. It is a cross-disciplinary field requiring competence in areas such as material physics, nano-science, electronics, energy sustainability and process technology. One important task for this position is to enhance the collaboration between KTH and other foreign universities in these fields and to generate joint scientific publication and respond to funding applications. Own ideas and experimental work are needed in order to bridge and enhance the present research network. The position is funded by an EU grant.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Good knowledge and experience in material engineering, energy storage, and device fabrication
  • Excellent communication skills with both spoken and written English
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
  • Collaborative abilities
  • Independence

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge and skills in graphene and 2D materials, supercapacitors and batteries, and printing techniques are meritorious for the position.
  • We prefer you have a good scientific publication record in the relevant fields.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
