Job description

This project concerns the development of new organic synthetic methodology with an emphasis on approaches for selective and controlled functionalization of carbon-hydrogen (C-H) bonds using photoredox catalysis.

The position involves organic synthetic methodology development including experimental design, data analysis and reporting of the results in a scholarly way. Furthermore, the postdoc is expected to assist supervision of junior group members, handling of practical group routines, and provide some technical assistance to the Division of Organic Chemistry in activities related to research.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (with some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume).
  • Research expertise within synthetic organic chemistry
  • Collaborative abilities

  • Good oral and written English communication skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience in working with photochemistry
  • Teaching abilities

About the employment
