Research Engineer in Applied Mathematics with specialization in Optimization and Systems theory

Job description

In this project, we will use frameworks in optimization, systems theory and machine learning to develop data-driven and model-based methods for large-scale network problems. The focus will be on developing theory and methods that can be used for control and estimation of large-scale systems such as transportation systems, communication systems and water supply networks.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Professional skills and skills in applied mathematics.
  • We seek a candidate that can work independently, with collaborative abilities and who is aware of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality

Preferred qualifications

Personal characteristics that we ask for this position are:

  • Good ability to get acquainted with new tasks
  • Good ability to work independently as well as in a group
