School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH

Job description

Computing at the edge of wireless networks is emerging as a key technology for future networked services and applications, in the areas of digitization of industry, smart transportation and healthcare or infrastructure management. Many of the services edge computing needs to support are data driven and involve distributed learning and inference.

The objective of this project is to develop mathematical modelling and optimization techniques that are suitable to characterize the performance and to assist the resource management of these wireless edge computing systems. Special focus will be on large-scale networked systems for distributed learning.

The successful applicant will join the recently started Digital Futures project on Decision-making in Critical Societal Infrastructures, led by Prof. Viktoria Fodor.
