Third-cycle subject: Information and Communication Technology
The wide deployment of Deep Neural Network (DNN) applications on embedded devices such as those for personal assistant devices would not be feasible without specialized hardware (e.g., ASIC and SoC) for the DNN computation that offers high-performance, low-area, and low-power metrics at the edge. This project targets the efficient realization of neural networks in resource-constrained embedded systems. The candidate will work on both the computation and computational aspects of DNN accelerators for embedded systems. The student is expected to have a strong background in computer architecture and machine learning, strong programming and engineering skills, and the ability to write for high-ranked conferences and journals in English.
Supervision: The doctoral student will be supervised by: Associate Professor Masoumeh Ebrahimi
