Third-cycle subject: Fibre and Polymer Science
We are looking for several doctoral students within the industrial graduate school Resource Smart Processes. The graduate school is funded by participating industrial companies and Vinnova through the strategic innovation program BioInnovation, and focused on studying and further developing today's manufacturing processes of pulp, paper and packaging materials with the goal of increasing efficiency and reducing raw material and energy needs. The projects will be carried out in close collaboration with participating industrial companies and parts of the project work will be carried out in industrial environments. The research projects are mainly experimental but with elements of data analysis and numerical modeling.
Supervision: The doctoral students will be supervised by Prof. Daniel Söderberg and Prof. Mikael Lindström

The applicants should have a Master's degree in a relevant subject area, e.g. Chemistry, Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent knowledge at advanced level.

Target degree: Doctoral degree
Only those admitted to postgraduate education may be employed as a doctoral student. The total length of employment may not be longer than what corresponds to full-time doctoral education in four years ' time. An employed doctoral student can, to a limited extent (maximum 20%), perform certain tasks within their role, e.g. training and administration. A new position as a doctoral student is for a maximum of one year, and then the employment may be renewed for a maximum of two years at a time.
