Job description

CellNova, a Vinnova funded center at the School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health, executes research for the development and production of next-generation biological drugs. The long-term objective of CellNova is to become one of the leading centres in the world for development and production of biological drugs. Read more here.

Design and engineering of new functions and properties of natural and artificial proteins is a growing research discipline with applications in many different areas, as in the development of biological drugs.

The postdoc project is focused on evaluating and establishing a new directed evolution technology as a method for screening of new affinity proteins against the unique collection of human secretory proteins and receptors which have been produced within the CellNova center.

Examples of methods may include: design and construction of combinatorial protein libraries, selection of affinity reagents from cell-expressed protein libraries with MACS and FACS, production and purification of recombinant proteins, biotechnological methods for analysis of purity, secondary structure, thermal stability, biomolecular interactions, cell binding.
