SEED gathers a broad range of interdisciplinary expertise to conduct research that covers a wide field within environmental, engineering and sustainability issues.

Job description

The project analyses the role of vegetation to counteract urban heat islands, which in turn affect people’s health. Within the project you conduct research within analysis and development of methods and tools for spatial and quantitative analysis of ecosystem services, with both existing data and new, locally scanned data. The analyses links to and are developed in cooperation with researchers within other subject areas, deriving big data on local climate with extremely high spatial and temporal resolution, as well as hyper-local data on vegetation. The methods will be developed into planning support tools for urban planning concerning green infrastructure and its ecosystem services.
