Job description

The research group led by Lauren McKee at the KTH Division of Glycoscience is looking for an efficient person to join us as Research Engineer to contribute to our research on a variety of themes. You can read about Lauren and her group at this webpage: https://www.kth.se/profile/mckee. We are conducting research into new types of carbohydrate-active enzymes and carbohydrate-binding proteins, and will need some help with lab tasks such as protein production and purification.

You will be joining an existing lab team of postdocs, a PhD student, master's students, and a group leader (Principal Investigator, PI). It is therefore important that you can work as part of a team, and that you can listen well and communicate clearly, as you will be taking part in research tasks on a range of topics. You should be a goal-oriented and results-focused person as you will be responsible for achieving important short-term goals that the other researchers in our team will rely on. You should be focused on the quality of what you produce, to ensure you pass good data and materials to the other team members. And you should have a structured approach in the way you work and the way you think about your work, so that you can meet deadlines coming from multiple team members and their projects.
