Job description

We are looking for a research engineer for a project named "HiSS – Humanizing the Smart Sustainable Society", funded by Digital Futures. The project is a collaboration between different Schools at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). The tasks include analysis of data, designing algorithms and implementing algorithms in smart building environments.

Requirements

A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 

In order to succeed in the position the candidate must have work experience and knowledge in the area of building automation and/or data analysis in buildings and a good understanding of building dynamics. The ideal candidate should have worked as a research engineer or researcher with similar tasks.

Preferred qualifications

It is meritorious to have education in computer science, experience in network systems, machine learning, data analysis, and of software tools and programming languages such as MATLAB, R, Python.  Knowledge in statistical methods and software development is also meritorious.

You feel confident in writing scientific articles and assume that both your written and oral English are advanced.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
