Job description

You will develop new quantum light sources based on single quantum dots and implement them in a deployed quantum communication network. You will develop and study quantum devices for single and entangled photon generation at telecom wavelengths as well as for the 2 micron range.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree    
  • Research expertise·

  • The ability to inform about research and development work
  • The ability to work towards research results being utilised in practice
  • Experience with optical studies of single quantum dots
  • Experience with quantum optics at telecom wavelengths
  • Experience in 2 micron waveband quantum optics
  • Teaching experience
  • Teaching and supervision of master and PhD students
  • Extensive skills in data analysis and data interpretation
  • Strong publication track record

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality

  • Experience in giving oral presentation at major international conferences
