We are looking for a researcher to lead the development of next generation lineage tracing approaches within the research group (www.spatialresearch.org), as such tools are an integral part of an ongoing national collaboration. In particular, the focus is on mouse brain development and an important task will be to (1) design and test various molecular tools for the introduction of genetic barcodes into progenitor cells, (2) optimize spatial transcriptomics techniques to readout out expressed barcodes and (3) reconstruct lineage relationships among barcoded cells in a spatial context. In summary, we believe that experience with advanced molecular biology techniques, experimental animals, next generation sequencing and computational approaches as well as interdisciplinary networks and outreach are key skills for the position.
Our ambition is to calculate and statistically explore large molecular data sets generated within the group, where two main areas are organ development and molecular characterization of disease states. It is also our goal to provide science with a high 'impact' with publications in the leading scientific journals. Finally, we strive to promote creativity, personal development and collaboration among team members.
