Job description

Division of Polymer Technology is looking for a researcher for temporary position. We work with development of sustainable polymer materials with low environmental impact. Read more of our research on our website.  The announced position focuses on the development of green processes and circular polymer materials.

The work tasks include

  • Laboratory work to develop circular polymer materials from chemical recycling of traditional plastics to repeatedly recyclable new materials.
  • Evaluation and dissemination of the results in the form of scientific publications

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree 
  • Scientific expertise demonstrated by high-quality publications in international scientific journals
  • Research experience in polymeric materials, their modification and characterization
  • Good experimental laboratory skills
  • Experienced in writing scientific articles

Preferred qualifications

Practical experience in development of microwave processes, recycling of polymer materials, dynamic covalent chemistry, processing and/or 3D printing.

To be successful in this role you need to have good research expertise, collaborative abilities and organizational skills with a high degree of independence. You have a teaching ability. You also have pedagogical skills and ability to inform about research and development work including excellent writing and communication skills. You have the ability to work towards research results being utilised in practice.

Experience of developing and leading activities and staff and knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality are considered a merit. 

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.

About the employment
