Job description

The work will be performed within the EU financed project iConsensus, which in its entirety encompass development of a platform for integrated control and sensing for production of biopharmaceuticals.

The specific tasks for the present job will concern an iConsensus work package including development and optimization of capillary electrophoresis techniques and methods for specific analytes or groups of components. Moreover, methods developed for capillary based systems should be adapted and transferred to chip-based systems. Both theoretical and practical work will occur but emphasis will be on the experimental execution. Collaboration with other work packages within iConsensus will be an important part of the work especially when the project reaches the final phase. The performed work must meet the demands in iConsensus regarding practical goals, reports and scientific publication.

The position will be placed at the division of Applied Physical Chemistry in the group of Analytical Chemistry.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Experience of development and utilization of capillary electrophoretic analysis and chip-based systems is demanded.

Preferred qualifications

  • You should have a master degree or similar within chemistry/analytical chemistry, preferably with focus on bioanalysis.
  • Laboratory skills are of highest importance for the work.
  • Experience of writing reports and/or scientific articles, as well as oral presentation of experimental results is meritorious for the position.
  • We prefer that you have skills in sample preparation and sample handling for biorelated substances.
  • It is commendable if you have practical experience of putting together experimental setups including microfluidics and detection etc., as well as knowledge about GLP, GMP and bioprocessing.

As a person you are committed, careful and efficient, and you have the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues within the area and cross-disciplinary.
