Job description

Research Engineer position aims assist a senior research in his studies about Textual Analysis and Topic Modelling (LDA, CTM, STM) in the field of finance. The reports which we analyze are written in English and Swedish/Dutch/German.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence.
• Experience in Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NPL), and Textual Analysis (LDA, CTM, STM)
• Programming skills with statistical tools (e.g. R)
• We would like to see the applicant have good knowledge of one the following languages as required in the daily work: at least two modern European languages (e.g. English and Swedish/Dutch/German) and at least one ancient European language (e.g. Latin and/or Ancient Greek)
• A record of working papers in the area of finance and/or ML which were already accepted at international conferences or for review in publications.
• The applicant should have research expertise and good independent work ability.

Preferred qualifications

• Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
• We prefer that you have good collaborative abilities

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
