Job description

We look for a research engineer who will work on finite-element simulation of acoustic wave propagation in complex material system. The project involves setting up 3D simulation model through weak-form formulation in COMSOL environment. The objective is to derive reflection and transmission coefficients of a waveguide system consisting of one or more resonators. The work is carried out together with the supervisor.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Proven record of finite-element simulation of wave scattering and propagation (electromagnetic, acoustic, or other mechanical wave)
  • Knowledge in mathematical methods for physical problems and weak-form formulation of partial differential equations
  • Basic knowledge in programming language, CAD environment, and sparse-matrix solvers
  • Being able to commence the task on the desired date.

  • Independence, and capability towards collaboration
  • Good communication skills in both Swedish and English
