Job description

This post-doc is focused on Project organizing and leadership due to digitalization and datafication. The position is a collaboration between the department of Industrial Engineering and Management (Indek) and the department of Computer Science and the unit Network and Systems Engineering (NSE) (50% of work at each department).

During the equivalent of half-time of your working hours, you will work in the Network and Systems Engineering unit (EECS school) where you will be involved in maintaining the department's research expertise in the field of digitalization opportunities in the event of changes in industrial organizations. Many industrial companies struggle with their organizational ability to be digitally ambidextrious, i.e. to complete both their long-term management tasks and to be more exploratory and innovative. In projects, this has today led to many companies undergoing an agile transformation. As digital elements in products and services increase, the requirements for agile development are increasing, partly to achieve the goals set, but also to be able to attract competences with digital skills. The post-doc will be responsible for emphasizing external research collaboration therefore it is important that the applicant has an established and strong ongoing collaboration within the project management community.

During the equivalent of half-time of your working hours, you will belong to the Management and Technology at the Indek department (ITM-school), where you will be involved in maintaining the department's research expertise in the field of management and management of industrial projects as well as organizational complexity in the business development of project-based organizations. The duties will therefore focus on the publication of articles in international peer-review journals on this, but also teaching in the unit's courses focused on change projects in industrial management (ME2502, ME2163) and supervision of degree projects in the field (ME200X).

Qualifications

Requirements

To qualify for the position, you have a doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (With some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume) in industrial economics and organization.

You have a master's degree in engineering and practical experience in industrial project management. The position requires that you have good oral and written communication skills in English when you are expected to teach this. It is therefore important that you have teaching experience both as a lecturer, practice leader and supervisor with a special focus on industrial project management.

About the employment
