Kungliga Tekniska högskolan,

Background

KTH's ambition is to be a leading, dynamic, international and innovative university that generates knowledge and competency for a sustainable future. KTH's five campuses in the Stockholm region gather over 13 000 full time students, more than 1 700 doctoral students and approximately 3 600 full time employees.  Together with industry and society, KTH works towards sustainable solutions to some of humanity's greatest challenges.

The organisation's goals for the next four years are described in KTH's development plan 2018-2023. Four areas that require additional focus have been identified: digitalisation, sustainability, internationalisation and gender equality. The development plan also describes KTH's ambition as an employer: “KTH must offer an outstanding work environment and, thereby, be an attractive employer. All staff must be offered the opportunity to develop and grow. Respect for and receptiveness to a variety of tasks and cultures contributes to rewarding collaboration.”

The President is expected to unite KTH on a common path forward, in a world that is increasingly subject to competition and demands within research, education, cooperation and funding opportunities alike.

You can read more about KTH here and find more facts about the organisation in the Annual report 2020.
