Job description

The focus group in Random matrix theory, stochastic models and analysis at the Department of Mathematics is offering 1 post-doctoral position.

The position is financed by a grant from the ERC. The main duty is research within the field of the group or related areas. A limited amount of teaching and some administration may be part of the duties. The position will be with Maurice Duits as mentor.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (With some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume).

Preferred qualifications

• We seek a candidate with a strong background in parts of mathematics relevant to the research activity of the group
• Pedagogical skills or experience

The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills. The candidate has an awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.

About the employment
