Job description

We are looking for a full-time developer for the Ethical Hacking course at KTH. The course has offered hands-on training in hacking techniques and cybersecurity concepts to more than 1000 students so far and we need you to make it bigger and better! If you are a software developer with an interest in cybersecurity, automation and the cloud, this job is for you. Your work will involve:

  • developing the software tool that we use to manage and automate the cyber range the students perform the hacks in,
  • building libraries that abstract components in the cyber range,
  • implementing and working with cybersecurity vulnerabilities,
  • writing tests for the code,
  • using modern standards and best practices.

You could also take part in experimental, research projects that run on top of the course infrastructure.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Software engineering background, either academic or professional with knowledge of software design and unit/functional testing
  • Good knowledge of Python and its tool ecosystem
  • Being comfortable with Bash scripting
  • Good communication skills in English is necessary in order to perform the work tasks

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Ansible and knowledge of DevOps concepts and practices
  • Background in system administration
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems, with a focus on Linux
  • Appetite for interesting, long technical conversation
  • Good teamwork skills with emphasis on respectfulness and building rapport

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency
