Job description

You will develop new quantum microscopes operating at the single photon level for biomedical applications to demonstrate the new function of high resolution, deeper imaging and higher sensitivity with the help of superconducting single photons. The work will combine design and assembly of optical systems as well as testing and validating the systems in collaboration with biomedical scientists. It also includes teaching and supervision of doctoral students.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree
  • Experience in developing and leading activities and personal
  • Ability to inform about research and development work
  • Ability to work for the benefit of research result
  • Experience in designing optical systems
  • Experience of optical measurements on biological systems

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience of presentations at bigger international conferences.

As person you have a strong ability of cooperation with colleagues and external partners, and work with a strong independence in your research. You have a knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
