School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH

Project description

Doctoral students in in-circuit computation in memristors for a model of Cortex.

The PhD candidate will map a biologically plausible model of cortex to a memristor crossbar. Part of the calculations of the model will be mapped in the crossbar using analog computations to fuse storage and computation to fundamentally overcome the von-Neumann bottleneck. The key challenges that the PhD will address will be memristor device modelling, factoring in large space-time variations in memristor devices, full-custom circuit level design and mixed-signal design.

Supervision: The doctoral student will be supervised by: Prof. Ahmed Hemani

What we offer
